During Open Hours
During open business hours (Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM), you may call us with the claims information and we can begin the filing process on your behalf. Or, if you prefer to send us an email with all the claims information, we will begin filing your claim as soon as possible. We may follow up with a phone call to confirm or request details.
After Business Hours
If you need to place a claim outside of normal business hours, please call and leave a message on our voicemail and we will assist you as soon as possible. If you need emergency assistance you must contact your insurance provider directly through their after-hours claims line. We have a full emergency claims contact list below.

Step by Step
Making a Claim
When something unexpected happens it can be very stressful. The important thing to remember is to stay calm and trust the professionals that are at your disposal to help you through the situation. While each insurance claim is different, there are some key steps to remember when making a claim.
In the event of an emergency, always call emergency services first before you call your insurance broker or insurance company. Once the situation is under control, we’re happy to help get things back to normal for you as soon as possible.
Most insurance claims will require some details in order to be processed. Depending on the situation, this can include an accident or police report, the details of other parties involved (i.e. contact details, license, insurance information), and as many photos as possible. This will help your insurance broker make an accurate claim on your behalf.
After your claim is submitted, your insurance provider may recommend particular service providers to help restore your property. Or, if it’s a timely situation you may need to make your own arrangements – for example, calling a tow truck. In any case, it’s always recommended to keep your receipts.
Quotes and adjusters
When possible, we recommend getting a quote for services beforehand. In many cases, an insurance adjuster will need to review the service provider before the service takes place in order to compensate you for your expenses.
After your claim
Getting your property restored can take some time. Insurance companies understand that there are certain things we can’t live without so you may be eligible for a rental or substitute during this time. Always hold onto receipts for possible reimbursement.
You will be notified once your claim has been processed including an Explanation of Benefits. The timing varies depending on the insurance company and nature of the claim. If you have direct deposit arranged, funds will be deposited directly to your bank account, otherwise a cheque will be mailed to you.
